Nationwide Health Training is a leading provider in online certification courses. Medical professionals from all 50 states have enrolled in our online classes to earn their ACLS, PALS & BLS certification or for continuing education. In addition, we offer non-healthcare provider classes, for working professionals, including CPR, AED and First Aid training.
Every course offered by Nationwide Health Training has been crafted by medical professionals with decades of experience in certification course creation. Course materials were created using American Heart Association guidelines in conjunction with medical literature and are reviewed and updated to coincide with the ECC guidelines set forth by the AHA. The 2015 AHA algorithm, provider and patient management updates have been reflected in our materials and certification exams. We recommend that individuals who need to renew their certification, but have not taken a course since 2015, review all materials to ensure compliance with new guidelines.

Advanced cardiovascular life support is a higher level of care than basic life support and should only be performed by trained, certified personnel. Healthcare providers that are usually required to be ACLS certified are critical care doctors, nurses, dentist, paramedics and other emergency responders. Our course is designed to assist healthcare professionals who provide care during cardiovascular and respiratory emergencies and will include ACLS algorithms, team dynamics, identifying and managing different types of emergency situations.
ACLS certification is valid for two years. If your certification card is expired, we offer an ACLS online renewal course that will include the most recent 2015 ECC guideline updates along with the 2017 ACLS updates all included. ACLS recertification is required every two years to ensure that you remain current with new advanced cardiac life support science.
Pediatric advanced life support is required for healthcare professionals who care for infants or children during cardiovascular medical emergencies. A common assumption is that PALS is just ACLS for kids. This is an incorrect and dangerous assumption as the approach to caring for a child or an infant is different from that of an adult. Therefore, PALS certification is required in addition to ACLS for providers that care for children. If you are required to have both your PALS and ACLS certification, we offer a special bundle price if you register for both courses.
Our fast PALS course is designed to be completed within 90 minutes, but may differ depending on each individual's level of experience. Our course is easily accessible and can be accessed from any internet ready device.
Basic life support training is a requirement for most healthcare professionals, but also required for non-healthcare jobs. Non-healthcare workers that may require BLS training are lifeguards, teachers, social workers or coaches. BLS covers the treatment guidelines of adults and children, that are having medical emergencies, until they can be given full medical care. Our BLS course includes high level CPR training, single person and team rescuer guidelines, protocol in and out of hospital care.
Our BLS certification class is completed entirely online at a time that is convenient for you. Once you register, you will have access to the course 24-hrs a day. In addition to the initial BLS course, we offer a BLS renewal course if your certification card has expired.
Our CPR courses cover all major patient types including adult, child and infant for true, all-in-one training. Whether you encounter a situation such as drowning or choking due to a blocked passage, you will learn exactly how to handle the situation from start to finish according to current guidelines. If you've been certified before, our recertification course provides a great refresher on core concepts and the latest AHA and ECC updates. If you've never been certified, our certification course provides complete, comprehensive training.
All of our courses included automated external defibrillator (AED) training so you learn how to use one of these potentially life-saving machines. AEDs are now available in many public buildings and places, so it's critical to know how to use them. You'll learn AED operations and use to help save someone's life in an emergency situation if they are not breathing or have had a heart attack.
Our first aid courses add comprehensive training for severe injury situations. You'll learn the skills and techniques needed to properly provide help and assistance. This includes core first aid steps like stopping the bleeding, applying pressure to the wound(s) and applying bandage(s).
Our courses are completely web-based and can be completed entirely on your computer or mobile device. There is no hands-on skills test required for certification or recertification.
